ARTIST STATEMENT
In this piece, seven panels of silk, satin and wool form a shifting canvas, floating within the space. The canvas shifts in a balance between light and weight, anchored by the products it shrouds below. The panels are positioned to partially obscure the space, and in turn, reveal the elegance and simplicity of the product designs. When visually removed from the context of the store, the products are singled out and given new roles as sculptures, their lines and contours offered forward for aesthetic study and appreciation.
